no prayers can save you now, it's too late for that.
goro akechi is a third year high school student, publicly known as the detective prince, a legacy title once held by, naoto shirogane. he frequently helps the police solve cases, and has gained acclaim and fame for this. unbeknownst to almost anyone, he is secretly a metaverse assassin for masayoshi shido, a corrupt government official looking to become prime minister. he does so because, unbeknownst to shido, is his father who he seeks revenge on after he abandoned his mother and eventually caused her suicide. his plan is to help shido become prime minister, and then expose all of the crimes that shido has ever caused and ruin his reputation and his life.

the standard game verse for p5r. this is pretty flexible in terms of when it can take place.
takes place at least six years post royal, following the cut ending of akechi going to rehab post maruki's fake reality, after he leaves rehab to try and make something of his life.

takes place right after wakaba ishiki's death, and ends at the start of akira's probation.

a verse where ayano lives, and she manages to make at least something for her and her son. ayano eventually becomes a detective, and akechi is the student council president at shujin. the black mask replacement is makoto.
#zaunite detective. 16-18. arcane.
akechi is a zaunite who works as a detective topside, and as an assassin-for-hire in the lanes. no one topside knows of his origins, and he will not let allow them to, but he will use everything he learns there to help him in zaun. in his detective work, he only takes cases that are either helping innocents or will punish the guilty. the ones he cannot help using the law, he will take into his own hands using his alter ego.

this one is still a bit of a wip! the basics so far are: the metaverse still exists, with shido being high up in an association, with goro being his pocket-fixer.

a little for fun genderbend au for akechi. she has the given name sachiko, with the title "detective princess." sachiko leans into a much more feminine aesthetic, with long hair that she keeps in a braid with a bow, and wearing a knee-length skirt with a petticoat underneath. she looks like an exact copy of a mother she can't remember. she's intensely jealous of the girls around her that can seemingly preform femininity effortlessly, meanwhile she has to practically force herself to preform something that feels genuinely wrong to her. she hates dressing the way she does, still preferring to dress masculinely when she can and does so come third semester/maruki's reality, and cuts her hair down to goro's usual length. ( any of goro's other verses can be written w/ sachiko upon request. )
